The MCC is a charitable, voluntary and innovative organization, dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity; promotion of a sustainable development; and education about environmental protection of the Raja Ampat area (Indonesia).

A sister organisation to the Misool Eco Resort, the MCC is an independent charity designed to at coordinate organisations and bodies with objectives close to its own.

- To work closely with the local population to encourage sustainable practices for the conservation and development of the area.

- To develop eco-awareness within local communities.

- To be a cornerstone for projects to protect and regenerate marine and terrestrial diversity.

- To be responsible for advertising and promotion of conservation, protection and improvement of our natural environment, thanks to actions focused on the defence of biodiversity.

The MCC’s objectives are to set up a functional and fully equipped base for use by scientific researchers and for conservation projects dealing with social and environmental issues in Raja Ampat.

The following conviction stands at the very heart of the organisation’s philosophy: Preserving an ecosystem will only succeed with the strong commitment of the local population.
